Prep stage 2.

As time goes on, the preparation for the SWY voyage gives the team more and more insight into what's ahead of us. First there was the introductions and the preparation manual. Straight away I was excited and floored by what an amazing experience this will be and what an honour it is to be involved. We've also been given a little insight into what our cabins will look like. It seems we'll be sharing with people from around the world and we'll change part way through the voyage. I wonder how much time we'll actually spend together as the Australian contingent ...

Now, we've hit stage 2 - Sponsorship. No, this isn't about sponsorship to pay for our part on the ship, but rather it's all about gifts. Voyage etiquette and Japanese culture means that there are many people that we'll be required to give gifts to as a way of thanking them for their help, hospitality and as a courtesty. So, we're all now on the look out for anything Australiana related, from wines, to souveniours, to flags to music to whatever. If anyone has any ideas, or knows of someone or an organisation that would like to sponsor the SWY 07 team, please let me know.
